Information and Policies

Alcohol Policy

Patriots fans who consume alcohol are strongly encouraged to drink responsibly. You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase or consume alcohol. Valid driver's licenses, Massachusetts state identification cards and passports are the only acceptable forms of identification at Gillette Stadium. Duplicate and expired licenses, liquor IDs, birth certificates, law enforcement badges, or any other forms of identification are not accepted at Gillette Stadium. Only two alcoholic beverages per person will be sold at any one purchase. All alcohol sales will be discontinued 15 minutes after the second half starts. Sales may be discontinued earlier at the discretion of stadium management. Questions regarding Gillette Stadium's alcohol policy can be directed to the guest services booths located on the concourses at midfield.

Patron Screening and Prohibited Items

Gillette Stadium and all agencies that work to provide visitors with a safe environment ask that you cooperate fully with staff and arrive at the gates in ample time prior to the game (at least 60 minutes before kickoff). Everyone who seeks admission into Gillette Stadium must have a valid ticket for the game (including small children) and must consent to a search of their person and anything they are carrying. Failure to consent to such a search will result in denial of entry into the stadium.

By entering Gillette Stadium the ticket holder agrees to waive any claims against the NFL, MLS, New England Patriots, New England Revolution, other participating clubs, performers and promoters and any of their affiliates and agents.

Individuals in possession of a prohibited item(s) may be denied admission to the stadium, ejected or arrested and prosecuted, and may forfeit the privileges of the season ticket holder of record. Prohibited items that are discovered in the stadium will be confiscated. Gillette Stadium and its affiliated clubs, and its agents and affiliated entities are not responsible for injuries sustained in, on, or around the stadium.

Any item deemed inappropriate by stadium management will not be allowed into the stadium, including but not limited to:
  • NEW: Bags of any kind except gallon sized clear freezer bags or NFL authorized clear bags measuring 12" x 12" x 6" and women's clutches not to exceed 7" x 4" x 2" (approximately the size of a hand). Stadium Entry

Stadium gates for Patriots home games typically open two hours prior to kickoff. We recommend you allow yourself plenty of time for the entrance procedures. Everyone who seeks admission into the stadium must have a valid ticket for the game (including small children) and must consent to a search of their person and anything that they are carrying. Individual game tickets and season tickets are revocable licenses, and nothing written here limits the right of the Patriots to revoke such licenses at any time and for any reason, in the Patriots' sole discretion.

Fans can choose to enter one of three gates at Gillette Stadium: The Bank of America Gate, located in the northwest corner of the stadium; the Patriot Place Plaza, located on the north side of the stadium; or the uBid.com Gate, located in the southwest corner.

Gillette Stadium has amended gate entrance procedures to allow families and other groups to enter together without being separated by gender. This new process is now in effect at the Patriot Place, Bank of American and uBid.com gates. Groups of mixed gender can enter the same line for security screening and ticket scanning. All other security procedures remain in place, including bag size restrictions, prohibited items and personal screening.

If you have any comments or feedback on the new gate entrance process, please email customerservice@gillettestadium.com.

Gillette Stadium still strongly encourages all fans to enter the stadium within 90 minutes of gates opening (two hours prior to kickoff for a Patriots game). The 30 minutes immediately prior to kickoff is the busiest period for stadium entry and therefore wait times may be extended.

Upon arrival at the gates, please follow the directions of stadium staff.

Persons leaving Gillette Stadium will not be allowed to re-enter.
