Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com writes that TE Owen Daniels had a free agent visit with the Patriots this offseason before signing with the Baltimore Ravens, according to a report from ESPN.com NFL Nation Houston Texans reporter Tania Ganguli.
"The Patriots' visit with the 31-year-old Daniels highlights part of the team's thinking when it comes to the "move" tight end position," adds Reiss. "
"Dennard, a strong, 5-foot-11, 199-pounder, is known for his man coverage skills. He visited the Steelers last week and has official pre-draft trips on tap with the Jets, Bengals and Rams," writes Howe. "Though it’s unlikely the Dennard cousins will reunite in New England, the Patriots met with Darqueze Dennard at the combine, a month before signing cornerbacks
"Easley would add another dimension to the New England pass rush, giving them someone who can collapse the pocket from the inside, something that Patriots fans have seen the Muhammed Wilkersons, J.J. Watts and Jurrell Casey's of the league (10.5 sacks each last year) do for other teams so well," writes O'Malley. "If the Patriots defense is going to actually make a jump, they need a guy like Easley." READ MORE>>

He helped his cause at the NFL combine when he was a top performer in the 20-yard shuttle (3.94 seconds) and 60-yard shuttle (10.93 seconds)." READ MORE>>
