1. He's always giving back
Since joining the Patriots in 2010, Devin has been one of the team's most community-oriented players. Not only does he stay busy with the Patriots Charitable Foundation, but he is also an ambassador for the NFL's Play 60 initiative to encourage healthy lifestyles among children. If that weren't enough, Devin and his brother Jason joined forces in 2013 to establish Tackle Sickle Cell, a campaign to raise awareness and funds for Sickle Cell disease.
2. He knows how to make us laugh
When he's off the field, Devin isn't afraid to have some fun. Last year, he and Jason had us laughing with their fake infomercial for Nickelodeon. And of course, there was this brilliant video of Devin giving out 'safety' advice to people around Boston.
3. He's got style
From matching pocket squares and socks to blue suede shoes, Devin McCourty knows how to dress. He always makes the most of team travel days and special occasions to show off his impeccable sense of style. You can see how his fashion sense stacks up against his teammates' in our 'On the Patswalk' galleries.
4. His family is awesome
Whenever Jason's not playing for the Titans, he's rooting for his brother and usually has daughter LiLi – one of the cutest Patriots fans ever – by his side. Then of course there's Mama McCourty. She supports her sons on and off the football field and regularly turns to social media to let the world know just how proud she is. Needless to say, we're happy to keep the McCourty clan as part of Patriots Nation.
5. Little Pats fans love him
During his years with New England, Devin has become a fan favorite and big-time role model for kids everywhere. That includes Chya Mayo, who sat down with him for an episode of A Lil' Mayo. Our adorable interviewer was all smiles at the idea of D-Mac becoming her big brother.
